Teaching 5 Year Olds to Read in Kindergarten

My students need a set of activity books to go along with the LeapFrog PLT pads. This set is a 4 copy set so that 4 kids can read at the same time.

I am a kindergarten teacher who teaches 47 students. I have such a variety of levels. I have children that know their ABC's and several who cannot even write their name.

I recently received a Donors Choose set of 6 leap from PTL's. These can only be used with the activity books. The cost of these books is more than I can afford.

I need the activity storybooks so that I can use the Leap Frog Leadpads I recently acquired. These books are awesome, the children point to the words on the books and the Leap Pad reads the stories to the children. It is an interactive way to teach children phonemic awareness, phonics and sight words.

With a donation, I can now use the Leap Pads and more importantly, teach the children in kindergarten how to read. With No Child Left Behind, we are expected in kindergarten to have children reading at a level C. This is first grade curriculum and I have to do it in half the time that other grades have. You will make it possible for my students to achieve this reading level.
