My third grade students love to read and be read to! Reading is vital to the education of my students, and I hope to instill in them a love for reading that will last a lifetime.

One of the most peaceful times of our schoolday is during guided reading time. My students are so engaged when they are being guided through novels instead of the standard reading textbook. The only obstacle we face in reaching our reading goals is that I have students on various levels, who cannot be guided through different books at the same time.

We are asking for a CD read-along set of "Little House in the Big Woods" by Laura Ingalls Wilder, and a set of "Tales of a Fourth Grade Nothing" by Judy Blume. These sets will include four copies of each book, and CD's so students can listen and read in small groups, while their teacher works with another group.

You will make it possible for me to teach three reading groups at once. I will be able to enrich the gifted students, teach the on-level students, and assist the struggling students all at the same time!
