“Too much trash in our landfills” Our new generation is gong to sink in trash! Our children at an early age need to learn the importance of recycling. This learning must not only come from books and various media, but by EXAMPLE. This can be accomplished with an effective recycling program at school. We only need your contribution! With the recycling containers our children will recycle paper daily in their classrooms. We can teach our students that we can achieve a common goal by making small contributions. Together we make the difference! I need 41 Desk side Paper Recycling Containers, two Recycling Rollout Containers with Lids and two recycling containers for computers for the program.
Every classroom, office and the teacher's lounge will have a container. Students, faculty and staff will collect paper school wide. At the end of the day, a representative from each class will be designated to take the recyclable paper to the collection places.
The Less Garbage, More Paper Recycling Program is going to encourage students to understand that they can protect our environment by making daily commitments. A small change in our life could represent a big impact on the future of the community.
The impact of man’s activity on earth’s climate along with environmental changes is a difficult concept for a young child to grasp. However, the Less Garbage More Paper Recycling Program in our school is going to bring a more tangible experience to our children. The impact of our school recycling program could transcend to the bigger school community. Eventually families can get involved in the recycling effort and the school could become a collection center for the neighborhood. It is important to count on your support to make the Less Garbage More Paper Recycling Program successful in our school. By supporting our program your help will ensure that my students have a jumpstart to recycling and learn first hand that they can make a difference to keep our environment clean. Research shows that children become life long learners, when our teaching relates directly to their every day life experiences. Recycling paper at school will provide an opportunity to our students to make a small change in their life style. This change can translate in the future into a society with conscious citizens that appreciate the importance of “recycling, reducing, reusing and closing the loop”. My students (455 children) need 45 recycling containers to collect recyclable paper school wide. HIDELive Updates
