Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

I teach math, science, and writing to a hard-working group of 4th graders, in a high-need community.

To step on the campus of our school is to take a journey back in time. Our school was built in the 50's, and keeping our facilities up to speed with the ever-changing technologies of the day has been difficult at best. The resources and supplies simply are not here for our students to the degree that they deserve.

I seek to add one more piece to that puzzle by bringing a multimedia projector into our classroom. Not only will it enable us to display student driven technology projects on the "big screen", but it will allow us to utilize available online educational videos and lessons as a group rather than individually at a desktop PC.

Every student should have the opportunity and the support needed to reach their potential as a learner. Your donation will help make that possible for the students that come through my door everyday. You will be making a difference in the lives of these children...and there is no greater reward in life. Thank you for your consideration and generosity.
