I teach in a low income, ELD (English Language Development) school in California. We truly love the students and their parents and are continually trying to provide ways to better communicate what we do.

I use a camera to add to school projects, field trips, events, and special moments. Students who are learning English use pictures help to communicate vocabulary words and concepts. Our previous well used camera broke and the repair costs equals a new camera! For teachers who regularly spend hundreds of dollars for classroom materials, this is yet another expense.

Having done research on camera quality and prices, I am requesting a good quality, digital camera. This way, I can use these pictures to help create activities in print and on the computer. This would allow us to have the immediate access necessary pictures.

Your gift will give my students the ability to be able to truly understand..a picture really IS worth a thousand words...smiles!
