I teach in Ohio. This is my first year teaching. I teach a preschool - K Autistic classroom. My students range in age from 3-6.

My students have a lot of sensory issues, but we do not have material to help the students with their sensory issues. These issues are obstacles for their academics.

This is my first year teaching and this is the first time that this school system is trying this unit. We are in need of a lot of material. In our classroom we need a refrigerator, a digital camera, a filing system , and ABC workbooks. The refrigerator will be helpful so that the medication that children have to take can be in a cool place. In order to provide structure to children with Autism, students use schedules. On the schedules, students will have pictures that will be taken with the camera. I don't have workbooks for my students to use in my classroom. We need a trampoline for my classroom because of all the sensory issues my students have. This will help them relieve their sensory issues. I have a lot of info on my students but we have no way of filing them, so this filing system will help with organization and help keep everything in order.
