Talk to Student Receiving Cancer Treatment in Boston

My students need two webcams and two PC microphones.

We want to see and talk to Emily!!!! We have a very special student who has a life threatening illness and will be leaving school for an extended time for an operation and cancer treatment. We would like very much to keep in touch with her while she is away.

Emily is a third grade student who will be leaving school soon to go to Boston to receive treatment for cancer. Our students need webcams and microphones to communicate electronically with Emily. We would like two webcams and two microphones, one set for Emily and one set for the students in school so we can say hello and give support to Emily while she is away. Emily is an extremely brave young lady and has been willing to share her experience with us so our students can learn to help our neighbors. We also have a "Pennies for Patients," campaign going where we raise money for cancer research.

With webcams and microphones we will be able to not only talk to Emily but see her. Students and staff will be able to speak to her via free software that allows us to communicate visually. We have computers and Emily has a laptop. We need to have webcams and microphones so Emily can connect them to her laptop and we can connect to our computers.

You can make it possible for my students to keep in touch and support Emily in this very trying time in her life. Emily is also an extraordinary role model for our students. She has faced this adversity with extreme bravery and our whole school wants to support and remind her of how much we miss her. Our students are learning to give strength and care for our neighbors who are experiencing trying time.
