Teaching the Ancient World- Books to Enhance Understanding

My students need 10 Ancient Civilization books for China, Egypt, Rome, and Greece.

This year I started out as a math and science teacher for middle school. After one quarter, I was then asked to add Language Arts and History (Ancient Civilizations) to my 6th grade teaching adventure. I love teaching all of the subject and my class. My kids have been troopers. They have been through many changes and do not get to change teachers like the other 6th graders. I want to make leaning each subject special to them. I want them to be intrigued by the topics, and want to learn more. I am asking for a few books on the different civilizations. Our classroom textbook is very bare-boned and does not allow them to have may visuals and information about the ancient times. We will be using these books on a continuous basis to learn and enhance our understanding of the ruins, and civilizations of our past. We will explore their great accomplishments and learn about their writings. If you are willing to donate to this project, you will surely be satisfied in the amount of use that these books will receive. They will be read and provide learning for many years to come.
