Lower Level Books Needed For Slower Learners

My students need 72 lower-level books from series such as Eloise, Clifford, and Arthur to increase interest in reading.

I am a reading specialist on my campus in a low income school district. Our funding has been drastically cut in the past years and we do not have much of a budget for books in our classrooms. I really need your help.

Imagine being a slower learner in third or fourth grade. Now imagine that you really want to read, but you do not have many books in your level. Frustrating right? Well that is exactly what is happening in my classroom. I do not have many lower leveled books in my room for my slower learners, so they are becoming frustrated, which leads to them not wanting to read.

I would like to have lower level books for my classroom. The books that I am requesting are books that are geared toward slower learners. They are high interest books like Eloise, Clifford, Arthur, and D.W. that the children love in my room. They help the children read because they are very repetitious and entertaining. I know that if we had these books that my students would read much more than they do now.

Please help me help my slower learners in my room. I would love to give them the gift of books in their level. These books would be used for years to come and your contribution would be greatly appreciated. It is people like you that make a difference in my children's lives.
