Hello I am a kindergarten teaching in New York City. The school population is low socioeconomic families. My students are learning about patterns in colors, shapes, numbers, letters, and graphics. The children need repeated practice and structured activities to guide their learning.

My student’s curriculum for kindergarten includes patterns. Children are exposed to a variety of patterns such as ABABAB..., AABBAABB…, ABCABCABC… etc. In order to help the children mater this skill I would like to have materials to utilize during the lessons and center activities. These materials will permit for continuous use and discussion of patterns.

The materials would be utilized daily either during the school day or the after school program. The children would be presented with these materials to create their own patterns or to complete a pattern that is already created. The children would engage in a variety of activities all reinforcing the same skill, patterns!

By purchasing these materials an entire grade of kindergarten students will enter into first grade understanding the skill of patterning. Children will be able to become problem solvers and mathematicians with your help! Thank you in advance for your consideration!
