I work between two classrooms and we need a movable podium lectern with storage space to transfer audiovisual equipment and the laptop between classes.

Our inner city high school prepares economically under served students for careers in architecture, construction, and engineering.

Often, our ethnically diverse students have little experience with the functioning of actual projects in the business environment or on the job site. As a former specialty contractor and association professional, I bring the world to the classroom each day through the use of technology and donated business materials.

Because we share classrooms, there is a continuing logistical problem related to the transfer of audiovisual equipment and resource materials between classrooms. I need a movable lectern to support the use of video clips and Power Point illustrations to provide students with real world connections for the development of their problem-solving skills and preparation of their portfolio projects.

Your help will be critical in bringing the business of design and construction into my classrooms, and help our students make up for years of inadequate schooling, as they prepare to fill the workforce vacancies which pose an alarming challenge for the future of the world's largest industry.
