We Feel the Need to Read

My students need 2 copies each of 10 books by Sharon M. Draper.

My students love the Sharon M. Draper books and are constantly asking for them. I am the librarian at the school. The 7th and 8th graders are hard to motivate to read but I have finally found an author they like. We live in a high-need community.

As teenagers I have had a hard time getting these students to read. The one Sharon M. Draper book that I have does not stay on the shelf and everyone is asking for it. I have finally found an author they like to read.

By having several Draper books to choose from I hope that once they get used to reading that I can motivate them to continue to read and discover other authors.

Your support of this project will ensure that my students have books by their favorite author and will foster a love of reading.
