Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

Please help Kindergarten students learn the skills that will get them on the road to college! I teach Kindergarten (bilingual; English and Spanish) in California. Most of my students know very little English, and come from low-income families. Our school is a Program Improvement School, our school has not made Adequate Yearly Progress.

This is my first year teaching, and I have found it very difficult to get the supplies my students need. Regardless, my students are learning a lot every day, and they have shown a passion for learning. They make me very proud!

My students will benefit from a mobile whiteboard easel to enhance their reading and writing experiences. This can be used for whole group and small group, and they will be participating and writing letters and words, and learning their sounds with more facilitation, so they can learn to read. It will also be used for mathematics. The easel that we are currently borrowing is falling apart.

You will make it possible for my students to achieve their maximum potential. You will also be promoting literacy to my students which is an extremely empowering tool for their success! Thank you!!
