I teach second grade in a wonderful public school with awesome students! I really enjoy going to school everyday and I would love to see the children have every advantage possible.

Our school budget is very small and parents are unable to send in school supplies. My students write frequently, but there is no budget to buy notebooks. There wasn't even a budget to buy the ones they currently have!

My students need notebooks for writing activities. One project we will complete is research writing about life cycles of plants and animals. The students will use the notebooks to take notes and create drafts of their research. We will also use glue sticks and other art supplies to create 3-D life cycle representations. Another project we will complete is writing stories using humor and voice. A collection of Junie B. Jones books will be wonderful for the class to have as an example!
