Well, hello there! I am a 2nd grade teacher in a public school in a Rocky Mountain state. I have been teaching for eight years and this is my first year in second grade. Since I changed grades this year, I feel like I am starting over as far as classroom supplies and manipulatives go.

In my 2nd grade class, we are currently learning about fossils in science. Unfortunately, the students are learning about fossils through the pictures I was able find on the Internet. How I wish I could show and let the kids touch, feel, and explore REAL fossils!

With your donation, my students would be able to experience first hand what a fossil is, looks like, smells like, and feels like. What a great opportunity for hands on learning this would provide for my students! We all know that the greatest learning takes place through experience and not through looking at a photo or completing a worksheet. These fossils would provide my students with an amazing learning experience.

You will make it possible for my students to understand first hand what a fossil really is instead of just reading about it in a book. Thank you for your interest and involvement in the education of our future leaders.
