Learning By Doing Art and Craft Projects

My students need bottles of finger paint, bottles of glitter paint, 1 case of finger paint paper, 1 box of lacing cards, lacing yards for necklaces, 4 aprons, 12 colors of crayons and a playdough designer kit.

My Kindergarten class includes two autistic children, several special ed children and many ELL who speak Spanish at home. We are in a very poor area where some parents work 2 or 3 jobs and the children lack the experiences of playing with crayons, paints and glue.

My children love to create and play while learning. This will enable them to learn and feel different materials. When they are workings, they begin to talk and interact with each other. They are also learning manners(please pass the blue paint) and learning to practice common social skills.

These resources such as glue, lace, paper, and paints will help all the children be creative, learn manners, develop social skills and create projects that they will be proud of. There is no right or wrong here, and children will learn about themselves and others.

You will make it possible for my students to explore materials they would not have a chance to use at home. My students love to learn and have not had the opportunity to play and learn with these media. Thank you.
