Play That Funky Music!

My students with multiple disabilities need 2 sets of rhythm instruments and a classroom favorites CD library.

I am a speech and langauge teacher working in a school with children with special needs. These children include thsoe who are visually impaired, hearing impaired, sensory deprived, and tactile defensive. The students I work with ranghe from age 4-9 years old.

Many of my students are physically challenged, the velcro bells easily adhere around the childs wrist helping the students who have poor gross motor to participate in musical academic activities. I also have chidlren who are visually impaired that particpate in learning activities by turning toward a sound source. These instruments that are being requested are easy for them to hold and manipulate. Using these instruments will help the students gain new knowledge, work as a group as well as incorporate fine and gross motor skills for their development.

I am requesting a player rhythm set and Cd's. These children love music and the music will help to develop their listening skills, build vocabulary, explore rhythm and movement and inspire their young imaginations.

Your help will make it possible to bring music enhancement to their young and nurturing minds. Your generous help will ensure that my students have the opportunity to have a well rounded education.
