My Students

Last year a student wrote his happiest moment was arriving here in the United States.They want the opportunity to succeed in school. My English Language Learners are dedicated students in a culturally diverse school. They come from various backgrounds and have different language levels.

They bring their cultural identities into the classroom and share their experiences to enhance our classes every single day.

My students work together to form a classroom community. They support each other in all that they do.

My Project

This year our ESOL 3 class is focusing heavily on reading and writing. We can use a document camera so students can see a model and peer edit each other's writing. When we do this as a whole group students take responsibility for their learning and learn from each other.

The students love showing off their work using a document camera which in turn makes them more motivated to complete their work and do their best.

We do a lot of our work on the computer complete with illustrations so we need ink because they love seeing their work printed and displayed for others to see!
