I teach third grade in a Title 1 school that serves a high population of basic skills and special education students. Because of this, my students respond well to learning visually.

Teaching Continents and Oceans is a part of my Social Studies curriculum; however, this is a challenge when I have to teach it without a globe or a map!! It is difficult for students to comprehend the whereabouts of the contintents and oceans without being able to view them on a map or a globe.

Maps have been an integral part of learning for as long as a classroom has been the home for learning. Teaching the layout of our world is near impossible without the resources of a map and globe.

Because of you, my students will be able to have the tools neccessary to learn about our planet. Your donation can bring the world into our classroom.
