History Larger Than Life

My students need a document camera.

The victor writes the history. I teach 8th grade U.S. history. Most educators understand the importance, and difficulty, of staying up on technology today. But my students and I are working to use and improve the technology in our school. A document camera will allow students to show items they write or draw, as well as other printed materials, to the entire class. We need to update our current overhead transparency machine. The camera will allow us to bring a new level of technology to the classroom. My school has agreed to provide and install the projector that will go with the document camera.

Our technology budget has been limited to buying new computers and licenses for the school writing lab. That means items within the classrooms are quickly becoming antiquated.

I need one document camera. The students will have better access for displaying their own work, maps from books, and historical pictures without needing an overhead---which usually are quite fuzzy and don't print maps or pictures clearly.

Donor contribution will raise funds that keep today's students prepared for tomorrows technological challenges. Our joint victory will richly reward our students.
