Classic Puzzle Collection

I teach preschool children (ages 3-5) with special needs, and I love what I do. Each day is a new and exciting adventure where we celebrate even the smallest gains. A few of my children are labeled Autistic and a few are labeled Developmentally Delayed. Our school is a Separate School which means all children in the building have some type of disability.

My children all have some type of disability, mental and/or physical. Getting to these children early in life (first 5 years) with early intervention services really makes a great difference in what they are able to do later in life.

Throughout the year we focus on different units. Each month is a different topic (bugs, body parts, foods, transportation). I try to make my classroom all inclusive and very repetitive. My students need to sing about bugs, read about bugs, do art about bugs, have bugs in the sensory/science area, and do puzzles about bugs. When a unit is able to be in every aspect of the room, the children are more likely to eventually grasp the concept.

By donating the Classroom classic puzzle set, you will enable my children to complete the different puzzles while we are focusing on the different units such as farm animals in the spring, or body parts in the fall. This collection of puzzles has 24 puzzles that can be used to help my children learn about the actual picture, but to also work on fine motor skills by using their hands, matching skills by putting the puzzle together, and vocabulary (both expressive and receptive) by talking about the puzzles as they work on them.
