Document Viewer to Replace Outdated Overhead Projector

My students need a document camera.

We are a 2nd grade classroom in North Carolina, and I teach all subjects. We are a relatively high-poverty school. There are 20 students in our class.

At our school, we are very limited with how many copies we can make, plus it is good stewardship to use less paper whenever possible. That is what we would like to do with this project- help the students learn without using so much paper.

We need a document viewer, which will take the place of the antiquated overhead projector. There are so many uses for this viewer, but a few are: 1) Showing math manipulatives (counters) to the whole group to illustrate a problem 2) Showing a picture book to the whole group so they all can see it clearly 3) Using the viewer to look at a workbook page and completing it, instead of making so many copies and wasting all that paper.

You will make it possible for my students to learn in new and exciting ways with this document viewer. They will be able to use the viewer to enrich their learning, and the best part is it will be used year after year to help our students learn.
