Budding Web Designers And Film Makers Need Your Help!

My students need 15 flash drives and 30 headphones to be able to use Garageband to create their own original music for their websites and digital media movie projects and take it to different computer labs in the school.

HIgh Needs New York City urban middle school technology and media teacher needs your help. Teaching sixth, seventh and eighth grade students web design and movie making on topics to raise social awareness.

My students have participated in a web site making competition and have been using 'i movies' to make some wonderful projects. They are amazing. One obstacle we have is that I teach them with laptops once a week and use the computer lab another day. Since both of these computers are used by other students many times there work is gone. In order to use Garageband which is the music making software the students need headphones because you can't have a room filled with 30 different beats going on. I would go home with a very big headache.

They are so excited about these projects and don't want them to get discouraged. The students love using garage band and making their own original music but unfortunately many of them don't have headphones. I have been supplying them for the last two years but I teach about 600 children a week and many are broken now with the usual wear and tear. This will allow my students to maintain the momentum and excitement of these amazing projects they are creating.

You will help my students fulfill their dreams and allow them the experience of using these resources to make even better web sites, flash animations and movies. Help my future web designers and Movie makers :0)
