Completed: It's Just Like Goldilocks, Only It's For Real.

"Do you remember reading the story, 'Goldilocks and the Three Bears'? In the story Goldilocks kept seeking the things that were "just right." First it was the porridge, then the chair, and finally it was the bed. Mama Bear always had the items that were "just right."

In this "updated" version, YOU are Mama Bear and have the power to give us the item that is just right...new chairs.

I am a first grade teacher in an inner city school. My kids come to school everyday from different types of homes and dealing with different types of issues. We have extreme hyperactivity, issues related to being homeless, children who live in hotels, learning issues related to birth defects, and the list could go on.

Last year, I was moved into the former preschool room. The desk chairs I was given range from being about a foot off the ground to 18 inches off the ground. This translates into my kids being eye level with the tops of their desks (or so it seems) to feet dangling in the air. I can look at one child now and see that Goldilocks is still searching for the chair that is "just right" - currently she's in Papa's chair while the child in the very small chair is in Baby Bear's chair.

Please assist us in getting chairs that are just right. I am requested 6 stacking chairs that are a 16 inch from the ground which should be just right for my kids!

Thank you for supporting my children in their education.

My students need chairs that are the correct height for them. The cost of this proposal is $311, which includes shipping for any materials requested and fulfillment ?."

Dear Mrs. Freedman, Marty, U.N. Owen, Betsy, a 9 year old girl who cares and Anonymous Donor,

Thank you so much for supporting our busy classroom with new chairs.

I can't being to describe how much excitement your gift created in our room! One afternoon near dismissal time, our custodian came into the room with the Fed-Ex man asking if I had ordered chairs. I was jumping up and down with excitement. The delivery man returned a few minutes later with two big boxes of chairs. The next morning, the students entered the room to new chairs around the tables. They were so excited.

One of the many benefits of these wonderful new chairs are the plastic balls on the feet. The kids think those are so cool. I think they are so cool because they make moving the chairs a much quieter process.

Thank you again for impacting our classroom with your generous gift of new chairs. It's great to know (and be a part of) a real life fairy tale.

With gratitude,
C.
