All children deserve beautiful books to treasure! Your help will provide my students with the resources that I simply cannot afford!

I am a second grade teacher in a high need community at a charter school in California! My students love to read new books, but I do not have many to offer them, nor do I have many of the new Junie B. Jones series that they LOVE!

I have requested Junie B. Jones books to help my higher readers, Magic School Bus books to teach them about the world around them, and Jamie Lee Curtis books to teach them self-esteem and social skills. My students need to read challenging books and to realize that there is more than just the city they live in. They also need lessons on socialization which the Jamie Lee Curtis books will help with.

You will make my kids eyes light up with the sight of new, shiny books. You will also teach them to treasure books and treat them with care, all while encouraging them to read! Thank you so much for realizing how important reading is for my students who are not read to at home!
