Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

I am an English Teacher who teaches 9th through 12th grade students in a predominately Hispanic and African American public school. All my students work very hard and they want to improve their reading skills.

In order to improve their reading skills, my students must actively read with their text by posing questions, making predictions, clarifying information, drawing visualization, evaluating text, and connecting to the text; however, they can not write in their textbooks in order to practice actively reading.

Therefore, I am requesting "Post-its" for all my students so they can actively read and post their ideas directly in the text without ruining their books.

Your help will ensure that my students become aware of the importance to engage the text, and improve reading and comprehension.
