Displaying Student Art Work

My students need a large paper cutter to cut poster board for mounting their artwork.

This project expired on February 27, 2009.

I teach 7th and 8th grade art. My students are a great group even though they face many obstacles at home.

I love to display my student’s artwork. I do it around the school and other venues throughout the year. When I can, I use pre-cut mats to display work. Since I display most of my students work, I often have to mount the work on poster board.

I have taught at the same school for 10 years now and I have been using the same paper cutter. I use the paper cutter to do many things including cutting the poster board to mount the work for display. This year, the cutter is just not "cutting it". If I can get it replaced, it will continue to be used for mounting work, and cutting paper for students to do their work

I will continue to display student work. Having the work mounted with an eye catching backing helps the work stand out. Art work that is displayed helps the student's self esteem. Your support of this proposal will allow students work to be shown in a more attractive way.
