My students need a set of temple blocks and a wind chime for our music classroom.

CLIPITY CLOP! BANG! Brrrrr Ching! Aren't these some great sounds? These sounds are missing from our classroom. Can you find them for us? I am an elementary music teacher, teaching students in grades K-5. I teach over 300 children. Your donation would benefit over 300 kids every day that they come to music class. We are a small 2A school district in rural north Texas and our funding has been CUT to nearly nothing. The majority of our students are low income and in need of experiences that they won't have in their normal day-to-day lives. Creating their own music is a wonderful inspiring and uplifting experience.

In the music program I am trying to implement the "Orff" method of teaching. This method involves students creating their own music with concepts that they have been taught. Students can't create music with out instruments and we REALLY need some instruments to jazz up our creations.

We need a set of temple blocks and a chime tree. Why? These instruments add wonderful sound effects to anything we might be trying to do. I often use children's literature to inspire my students in their creations. Temple blocks could add the tapping of hammers, the running of a horse, the slamming of a door and many other great sounds found in children's literature. A chime tree could add the gentle sound of blowing wind, the wonder of a magical experience, and countless other sounds of wonder and amazement. Adding these instruments will allow us to become even more creative and inspired.

By donating to our music classroom, you will help literature to come alive for students. That literature will then inspire them to create and compose. These compositions will bring about a sense of pride and accomplishment. Who wouldn't want to help low-income children feel great about themselves? You can do that by donating to our project.
