Disc'O'Seats

My students need 7 Disc'O'Seats to be used throughout the school day by various students.

In our enthusiastic community of 5th grade learners, there are several students with surplus energy who need an outlet for it. Due to our high-need community, the minimal budget must be spent on basic supplies like notebooks, pencils, glue sticks, etc. and there is no money left for these additional supplies that are "extras" yet very necessary to enabling students to learn.

During class, students with an abundance of energy have difficulty sitting still. Students that have a surplus of energy will find their own outlet to release this energy if one is not provided for them. The outlet chosen tends to be disruptive to other learners in the classroom as well as to himself/herself as they are no longer able to concentrate on the learning material.

One solution to this problem is to provide an outlet for this energy. Disc'O'Seats allow students to sit in a chair and provide them movement to help them focus. The Disc'O'Seat is an inflated disc that stimulates movement by making students balance. It is safe for students to sit on and provides them with enough movement that they are able to focus on the lesson at hand.

Your help with the Disc'O'Seats will allow these students to be physically active without disturbing others and to be mentally focused on the task at hand.
