Dear Friend, I am a first grade teacher at an amazing public school in NC. My 22 students come to school from various backgrounds and experiences. They are eager and inquisitive and their desire to learn keeps me on my toes! This is my 12th year teaching and I can't think of a better school or grade level to spend each and every day learning from my students!

Currently, my school has over 750 students. We only have 3 digital cameras to use and these cameras must be shared among all 36 classrooms and with our specialists such as the art, music, and resource teachers. These digital cameras are always being used and at times when I have checked one out, the batteries have been dead! There is nothing more disappointing than to have to tell my students we can't take pictures of our projects because the cameras are out of commission or unavailable.

We need our own digital camera where we can monitor the battery life and use the camera to document our learning throughout the school year. Our digital pictures will be printed and used to make books and also posted on our school website for family members near and far to view and share our daily learning.

With your generous donation, my students will have the ability to share their school memories with family and friends. Your donation will also improve speaking, listening, viewing, and writing skills.
