"I teach 4th graders and run a science lab. I teach 4th and 5th Grade Science Enrichment classes during intersession at a high needs year round school.
Science in the Real World, I have been asked to run a science lab and we do units on cells and micro organisms with inferior quality tools. I want to bring the world of the invisible to the visible with quality microscopes to improve interest and test scores.
This new microscope will provide clear crisp images that the students can thoroughly understand and get excited about. The built- in digital camera will allow them to then capture images and write essays about what they saw which include pictures to help them describe what they saw and learned. Our first experience will be to analyze water samples from salt and fresh water for microscopic life forms and complete a compare and contrast of these life forms. We will also examine the differences between plant and animal cells.
Your help is sure to provide my students with exciting experiences that will remain with them for life and possibly inspire some of them to take up a profession in science as adults as well as improving test scores.
My students need 1 quality digital microscope with a built-in digital camera.
The cost of this proposal is $462, which includes shipping for any materials requested and fulfillment ."

Dear John, Denise, Donna and Anonymous Donor,
Thank you very much for giving to our cause. This microscope should arrive just in time for intersession. Our students will be using this microscope during intersession to develop an understanding of the biological processes used to support aquarium life and why tap water by itself cannot support aquatic life. They will investigate the microscopic life that helps support the living environment around us. We will explore the microscopic world in all of our live tanks, not just the aquarium, to help develop an understanding of the world of the unseen.
Reviewed the project essay and sent follow-up questions if needed.

"My favorite back-to-school memory is...the year that I got to walk my little brother to Kindergarten every day. I was in eighth grade and just loved being able to bring him to his class each morning and watch him begin his day."
