Science in the Real World, I have been asked to run a science lab and we do units on cells and micro organisms with inferior quality tools. I want to bring the world of the invisible to the visible with quality microscopes to improve interest and test scores. This new microscope will provide clear crisp images that the students can thoroughly understand and get excited about. The built- in digital camera will allow them to then capture images and write essays about what they saw which include pictures to help them describe what they saw and learned. Our first experience will be to analyze water samples from salt and fresh water for microscopic life forms and complete a compare and contrast of these life forms. We will also examine the differences between plant and animal cells. Your help is sure to provide my students with exciting experiences that will remain with them for life and possibly inspire some of them to take up a profession in science as adults as well as improving test scores. My students need 1 quality digital microscope with a built-in digital camera.
