My 6th graders come from all areas of New York City, many of which live in economically challenging areas.

It is important for my 6th graders to learn about current events and what is happening about the world around them! With the unfortunate money restraints on New York City schools, and knowing that many of my students struggle to come up with even the most basic supplies, I am hoping to get some help funding this magazine subscription for my students!

TIME for Kids offers easy to read articles on world issues, as well as suggested hands-on activities for students to internalize what they are learning. I can think of no better way to bring real life into the classroom than with the magazine!

Offering my wonderful students this opportunity to immerse themselves in TIME for Kids will add such richness to their lives! Many students go through their childhood unaware of pertinent issues around the. As a teacher who also runs many Community Service activities, TFK will bring awareness to students who wish to take action in their schools and environments, such as heading a recycling program, and make a difference in many lives! Thank you for taking the time to consider enriching my students' lives!
