My students need 34 classroom library books, including "New Moon", by Stephanie Meyer and "Slam!", by Walter Dean Myers.

I have 7th and 8th grade English classes that includes low income students that would like reading materials that appeal to them.

Many of the books are not appealing for boys and are very out dated. Some are missing pages and some are just old. So, I am in desperate need of a library makeover.

These resources that I am requesting will up date my classroom library and will have more interesting topics for male and female readers. Providing more of a selection with books such as Runner, House of the Scorpion, and Sleeping Freshmen Never Lie, will help them during silent reading time, which is an effort to increase the reading scores and increase vocabulary. Help me open up a new world to students with books.

Many of my students do not have books of their own to bring causing them not to read at all. I want to bring a brighter perspective on reading and provide them with updated books of their interest. Please help me make difference in lives of our children.
