My students need 8 quality volleyballs for practice.

I teach Spanish and coach volleyball at a large urban high school. I am fortunate to love my job. My volleyball teams can compete with the best. Unfortunately we don't have the resources to train like them. With a little additional funding the young men and women on my two volleyball teams can compete with anyone. They are outstanding athletes and good students. Some of them may even receive college scholarships for athletics. However, we need some rather basic supplies in order to succeed. With your help and generosity my student-athletes will realize their aspirations.

The young men and women on my volleyball teams love to play. It is a lot of fun for them and provides a healthy alternative to the streets. We practice or compete daily for three or four hours, and they enjoy it tremendously! However, we do not have enough balls.

If we could just get a few more volleyballs each athlete would be able to practice individually. There would be no waiting for "your turn". Our practices would be both more efficient and more challenging. This would definitely improve our ability to compete with elite teams across the state.

You can make it possible for my student-athletes to have the equipment to train like elite athletes. If they train like the best we will have results. Some may earn a scholarship. At the very least they will all exercise daily, master a sport they can play well into adulthood and have fun. Our needs are so minimal. We just need a few more balls. Thank you so much for considering my teams.
