Science Studies Weekly

My kindergarten through grade four students need a yearly subscription of Science Studies Weekly.

This project expired on February 5, 2009.

I teach science to Kindergarten through grade six students in an elementary school in the state of New York.

My students live in temporary housing and eat free lunch. They live with one parent and stay within their community. My public school would purchase the Science Studies Weeklies if they had the funding however, our budget is earmarked for other things.

I would like to give my students a Science Studies Weekly to read in the classroom and then take home to read and show their parents. It is a colorful weekly that will supply them with colorful information to read during the evenings when they are at home. These Weeklies are full of information about science topics that they will view in the classroom and revisit on their science examinations. This project will allow the students to become more familiar with a variety of science topics that they are required to have covered at the end of this school year (2008-2009) - the introduction to science tools, safety, the earth, water, the weather, space, the sun, living things, just to name a few. That is what is so remarkable about these Weeklies - they are Science Standards topics as well! It is exactly what the the State expects the students to know to become successful when taking their science examinations.

To help my students pass their examinations with the best grade that they can achieve your generosity, kindness, and support is greatly needed. Thank you.
