This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

Please allow us to create beautiful artwork. I am new art teacher for grades Pre-K to 5. My school focuses on children with special needs in a high needs community.

I am doing my best to put together an art program for a school that has not had one in two years. However, my school does not have the funds for all the supplies my students will need to create beautiful pieces of artwork. There is no place for their paintings to dry after they have completed them, and they get ruined when hanging on clotheslines because the paint drips. Also, we have a wet storage closet to hold sculptures, but no clay to create sculptures with!

My students and I would greatly appreciate a drying rack to hold wet paintings so they can dry properly. We would also love to create clay sculptures, and would be excited to have some self-hardening clay and clay tools. Working with clay is an experience children never forget, and always a favorite.
