I am currently teaching a class of eight preschoolers with disabilities between the ages of three to five years old at a public school.

Preschool time is a time for children to really develop and refine their skills through play and early learning based activities. The students are a sheer delight to work with. They are motivated to learn and eager to demonstrate their new skills. Learning does not only happen in school, but in all environments. This includes the community and home.

I would like to create a bag filled with activities that the students in my class can share with their families and friends. They will be able to keep this bag of activities and “show off” some of the skills that they are working on in school. I plan to add different activities in the domains math, art, literacy, writing, dramatic play, and manipulatives/puzzles to their bag.
