Let's Get Physical

My students need 3 trikes and giant safety signs for our new bike track. We are at a new building and have no tricycles for our kids. Most live in apartments and have no access to any type of equipment. They have little time to play outside in a supervised area for safety. We need to look ahead to developing active and healthy adults.

I teach pre-kindergarten at a large elementary school. My children are in the program according to federal poverty guidelines or they are English language learners. We are in a new building with a wonderful bike track, but no bicycles or equipment for it. Our kids live mostly in apartments and don't have access to outdoor play to develop motor skills and good health habits for the future.

My pre-school students live mostly in apartments and are in the program due to federal poverty guidelines. It is so important to get them active and help them develop motor skills. When we moved schools, all of our bikes and trikes were stolen. We really to to help them keep active and develop motor skills. This will also help them to learn how to share and take turns. Having traffic signs will help teach them street safety and how to follow directions.

I need tricycles and motor equipment for my kids to use. The kids need to develop motor skills that they have no opportunity to access at home. They need to get outside and develop good exercise habits for later in life. Our school is on a limited budget and cannot purchase these. We will be also enrolling children moving here from the Gulf Coast due to Hurricane Ike. They will need to have some special equipment to play and let out energy. Having the traffic signs will help the children learn to read the signs and follow directions. They will be able to transfer this to street safety.

Let's get these potential couch potatoes moving in a positive way. They need to start a healthy lifestyle NOW in order to promote good healthy habits. We will be getting new students from the Gulf Coast due to Hurricane Ike. We really need to get them back to a more normal, stable place. Many of them have no homes to return to. I know that if I was a child, bicycles and simple play would help me to let off steam and emotions.
