The Green Poison Ivy: Watch Out, Coming to a School Near You.

My students need a set of Library books relating to Science so they not only hear me speak about the scientific elements around us, but their eyes can be opened to things they have never seen before and still keep them on topic, a place they can go to, to take a trip through the books and experience science. These pillows will provide a comfortable and efficient place for them to learn. They also need the matter game and the earth games to make science fun. My students will be able to realize that science can and is fun. Also something to help them relax after a big test, but still keep them engaged in science they need the frog specimen because most of my students are visual learners and do better when they see it in front of them as opposed to hearing me speak about frogs. This specimen will help on my unit about Dwarf African Frogs. Finally they need the supply center because most of the instruments we recieve from the district are broken or are just not enough. My students need an aray of instruments to help them explore. I want to be able to have my students explore on their own and this supply kit will help me achieve just that.

Hello! I teach 4th grade science. 4th grade science is not a typical book orientated lesson. My students have the opportunity to explore the world around them in a variety of different ways. My lessons are mostly hands on and interactive. My students come from a high-need community where many supplies they need to thrive are not provided.

My students love to investigate and explore. They are always asking engaging questions and want to know more than given. Unfortunately, my students come from a high-need community and many of the things they deserve can not be given to them due to budget restraints. My students should not have to suffer or hold back their explorations because they have nothing to explore with. I want my students to be able to look outside of the box and find answers to their own questions. My students thrive to learn more and explore, I just hope with your help I can try and satisfy that hunger

If you help me and my students their hunger to thrive and learn will be on the road to success. I said in the title of this proposal the green poison ivy and I meant it. My students stretching their minds and curiosity throughout science. They are spreading their knowledge throughout the spectrum. It is just ironic that our school name has Ivy in it, but anyways. My students need the books to open their minds and see it in print. They need to have a place they can go and search for answers to their questions . They need a place to get lost and explore. This is why I also need the pillows for them to be comfortable while they are exploring the world of science. My students need the games to have some fun activity to engage it when they might need a break after a test. With games related to our units they will be able to stay on task and learn in the process since education is never ending. My students need the supply kit to be able to explore and measure their surroundings in the classroom. They are tools to their education. Every good scientist needs their tools. Last but not least my students also need the visual of the frog because we have a unit with Dwarf African frogs.

Without your help my students will not be able to get lost in a book or explore the world around them. Your donation will tell my children that their socio-economic surroundings will not determine the lengths to which they can learn. My students deserve a chance and opportunity to explore and find answers on their own with your help. Please help my little explorers find answers and discover new things. Only with your help will this be possible. Thank you for your time and consideration.
