I am an elementary science teacher in an urban district. I see 14 different classes in grades 3 through 5. Each classroom is different and each has its own challenges. From special education to bilingual to advanced work classes, my classroom is used by a very diverse range of students.

Since I see 14 different classrooms, my time with each class is limited. The students come to me a total of 90 minutes a week and that is not enough for me to cover the material and accurately assess the progress of each student. With over 200 students, I have a difficult time keeping up with assessment and knowing if the material being covered is sticking with the students.

I recently discovered "clicker" systems that allow a teacher to instantly assess the progress of their students. Each student has a remote control at their desk with a bunch of different buttons. As the teacher asks a question, the students answer by pressing the correct button. The teacher can then instantly see a graph of the students' answers and then adjust the lesson accordingly. The research shows that students who use this system are more eager to learn and they are much more attentive to the lessons because they want to be able to answer correctly when the time comes.

Please help me to purchase this system. I have a difficult time assessing each student and the last thing I want is for a student to "fall through the cracks". With your help, every one of my 250 students will be able to participate during science class.
