Reading a book can take your mind to places you never imagined you would go. Salutations, I am an elementary teacher and I teach 3rd grade students. My students all come from different backgrounds. Many of them are from poverty stricken families where they have very little,and the classroom is their comfort zone.

There have been times when the students have mentioned to me that many nights they sleep cramped up. The reason is because they have to share a bed with their sibling or relatives. This can have a dramatic effect on a student the next day in school. Having a cozy place to read a book will encourage them to read more, spark their interest for books and take them places they wish they could go!

We are in need of a nice comfortable couch and/or chair where they can relax. Having a place in the classroom to go where they don't have to worry about being cramped up will make them eager to go there and read a book. This will also enhance their vocabulary and reading skills while reading.

Your help will make a difference in providing my students with a comfort zone and a place they could call their home!
