I am a brand new, never taught before, kindergarten teacher, in a high-impact school.

I have been setting up and organizing my classroom, and when I went to my library I realized I had less than 50 books! Half of them from when I was in kindergarten, and some from when my father was in school!

I really want books, and there are certain ones that are so good for young children, especially for non-English speakers. The Miss Bindergarten series, books by Kevin Henkes, Junie B. Jones. And more. To have a decent sized library will not only look nice in my classroom, but will provide more opportunities for a varied selection of reading materials. And when the 6th graders come down to do reading buddies, it will give them the chance to pick some of their favorite books to read with my students. Books are never a bad thing!

By providing money for these books, you will be encouraging reading and English learning in students who desperately need it!
