Let's Make Some Noise

My students need a CD player and CDs of songs for kids and songs from around the world.

We are going to make some noise this year! I will be teaching a kindergarten class this year, and it's our first year we will be having full day kindergarten! We are a very diverse school, with 30% Hispanic, 20% African American and the rest includes children from ALL over the world.

With such a diverse school and with different learning abilities, I would like to incorporate music and movement in our class to get everyone involved. The songs will be academic or just plain fun! The songs will allow the students to build rhythm, get them moving and get the students to learn new vocabulary words and they won't even know it!

In order to have a fun and academic environment, we need a CD player and some CDs. The CDs will also need to be culturally relevant with songs from all over the world! We want to value as many cultures as we can in our classroom.

Having these resources will allow my students to get involved in the class, sing songs, dance and share these with their families at home. It will be so exciting!
