Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

I will be teaching a large group of second graders in a high-need community in Connecticut.

I have just taken over a second grade classroom that lacks book storage units for classroom books. These are books that they choose for independent and buddy reading.

A Books On Wheels Library will allow for sorting & storing of books by level and themes! This is place that the children will go to on a daily basis to choose books for their independent reading time and buddy reading time. They will choose books from this library to take home and read to their parents to enjoy and practice reading fluency.

Your help will ensure that my students have an attractive organized library in which to use to grow as readers!!
