My Students

I teach Geometry standards with an ESE support facilitator. The students are all races and backgrounds with each class having several special education students. Each student has a unique personality that makes them special. The students can tell when a teacher enjoys their job and wants to get to know the students and invest in their lives. My students have such a wide variety of interests, surfing, drawing, rapping, sports and art. They really enjoy when you take the time to talk to them about the things that interest them.

My Project

I want to make Geometry more exciting this year by using interactive notebooks and individual whiteboards. The interactive notebooks is a place for students to keep their notes, activities, homework and tests. It will have many colorful foldables inside so that the students can grasp the concepts easier. The foldables also help teach the students how to study for math at home. The individual whiteboards are a student favorite that keeps them engaged and allows for me to monitor the progress of the entire class at one time. If I receive this donation, both of these materials will be used daily in my classroom.
