I teach Pre-algebra to classrooms of about 40 middle school kids who come from households where mostly both parents work.

My classroom has only one 4' by 10' whiteboard and little room for students to come to the board to show their work.

With a flexible document camera, students could show their work in real time right from their desk, while the image is projected for the whole class to see. As students work each step, they can explain their reasoning.

You will empower students to contribute in meaningful ways to the learning environment, helping them to improve their confidence and reasoning abilities as they explain their steps in working out a problem in front of the class.
