My students need an LCD Projector to become exposed to a variety of educational material offered to us but because of the lack of LCD projectors, we are not able to fully take advantage of this amazing opportunity.

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
I currently teach in a high need community located in Los Angeles, California. I teach third grade and a lot of my students are second language learners.
My students come from a high-need community and many of them do not have access to technology outside of the classroom. We are living in a world filled with technology and I want my students to have access to this great opportunity.
I would like an LCD Projector for our classroom to be able to implement technology and provide interactive lessons. I currently have a laptop to use for my classroom needs and have created many extensions to my lessons. I have also created many interactive lessons, but all these lessons will be in vain if I am not able to share them with my students. Our school also purchased educational videos via the web to share with our students, but unfortunately we are not taking advantage of this superb resource because we do not have many LCD Projectors at our school. I also team teach and I would use this wonderful resource with not only my students but with the other students that come to my classroom. I believe that my students will benefit in many ways. My Second Language Learners will be exposed to more language in a variety of ways. They will be able to interact with other students and share their thoughts. They will be able to use language and math together and again express their ideas. They will be able to hear and see more on what had been taught in all subject matter, including Social Studies and Science! Overall, it would be an asset and an extension to their learning.
Can you imagine a fun interactive math lesson using technology, in which students get to participate, use their English skills, cooperate whole group, use their social skills to interact with their fellow classmates? It would certainly be amazing! Implementing traditional education and technology would truly be a priceless experience for my students. Your help will make it possible for me to instill in them a hunger and desire for learning. I want to fill their brains with as much education as I possibly can in a school year. I want to motivate them, make them excited at the thought of learning. Your help will ensure that my students are given this chance and are able to achieve their educational desires.
