I teach Kindergarten ESL at a high-need school in Texas. For most of my LEP students, this is their first experience in a formal educational setting.

My students with Limited English Proficiency need lots and lots of opportunities to practice home and school vocabulary. Very few have English-speaking parents and/or siblings so the classroom should provide as much exposure to the English language as possible. Since I am the only teacher in the classroom, the students need independent ways to hear and speak as they acquire English proficiency.

I need a smart talk card reader with school, community, home and family picture/vocabulary cards. I also need a hear myself sound phone so verbal practice does not disturb other learners. I need 2 storytelling kits with a story-telling easel so students can re-tell these stories to classmates.

You will help make it possible for my LEP students to have fun and engaging opportunities to hear, speak, share and communicate with their classmates.
