Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

I teach 2nd Grade at an elementary school in the East Bay of California. My school is not Title 1, but is not in an affluent area either. Therefore funds cover only the necessities. . .no extras are given.

Technology in the classroom? More and more of our required curriculum is technology based. First it was Social Studies. Last year Science and now this year Math. I recently had 5 days of training learning about all the interactive computer/Internet technology components of the new math curriculum. However, how effective are these programs when I currently have 2 10+ year old Macs and 1 Dell Notebook that is currently on order?

In order to fully implement the current Math, Science, and Social Studies curriculum and allow each of my students to see and interact with the programs, I am asking for a LCD Projector.

Your help will ensure that my students will have access to the full curriculum that I am required to teach.
