I teach second grade. We are located in the state of Virginia. Many of my students come from a low-income, high-need community.

I do not have an easel in my room. In order to provide excellent reading instruction, an easel is imperative. It not only stores and displays materials, it works as an interactive display.

It will allow to students to interact with the books and poems we read during guided reading lessons. Not only will this easel provide a place to hold books of all sizes, but it will also be an interactive board for our word study and fluency practice.

Providing this easel for my class with help give us the tools for excellent instruction and hands-on learning.
